Dr. Anirban Sengupta, Executive Director, ISB&M; Group, brings in 25 years of rich industry-academia experience. Dr. Sengupta is a B.E. (Electrical) from Jadavpur University Kolkata; MMS (Marketing) from NMIMS under University of Mumbai and a PhD (Management) from University of Pune. He began his professional career - as an engineer in 1989 - with a two-year stint in Manufacturing - with leading Indian tyre producer CEAT – initially at its Mumbai plant and then at its and Nasik plant – as Assistant Superintendent (Electrical).
He was responsible for electrical maintenance of half of the Nasik plant of CEAT – and also was a member of the project team implementing modernization and expansion of the plant.
He moved on in his career in an Analyst role with CRISIL (a S&P; Global company), Duff & Phelps Credit Rating and FITCH Ratings – wherein he received first-hand exposure to engineering and operations of across industries including power, steel, cement, automobile, plywood, tea, sugar, cotton, bottling plants, tyre, heavy engineering, telecom cables, auto ancillaries and so on.
